Becoming Fearless – Part 4

As Christians, there are times when we fear one another. We are good at quoting Scriptures but when it comes to living them out that is a different story. We fear being seen differently, we fear being talked about, we fear what others think about us, we fear being judged, we fear being ridiculed, and we fear others seeing us as being weak or who we are portraying to be. We should not be afraid of one another. As Children of God, children of the most High God, sisters and brothers in Christ. We are to be rooted and grounded in love. The only one we are to fear is God. We aren’t even supposed to fear God like we do in the natural with terror. We are to have awe Him. A profound reverence and respect for God. “We love Him because He first loved us”, I John 4:19. In order, to get rid of fear we must confront those areas that we have been hiding from. Fear is not our portion. It’s time to expose it and walk in true freedom. Let’s not allow the fear of man to hinder us from walking in the fullness of all who God has for us as His children.

This is the conclusion of the previous three articles on becoming fearless. If you haven’t had a chance to read them. I encourage you to back to read them and get the entire message about fear. The next step is our future, sometimes we fear what is before us. There are times we get all worked up in our minds. What are you fearing about your future?

  • Our Future

We must get in a habit of rejecting the thoughts that exalt themselves against God’s word,. We must refuse to live in fear and rebuke the fear. To conquer fear, we must admit that we struggle with it, repent, sever the ties with it, and continuously renew our minds in God’s Word until it takes root in us. We must meditate on God’s Word. We must speak God’s Word. God isn’t coming to the earth to do anything for us. He has already given us the power and authority to create what we want in our lives. If you aren’t speaking it don’t expect for it to be manifested in the earth. If you aren’t believing for it don’t expect it to happen. If you aren’t envisioning it, don’t look for it. You can wish all day long but that isn’t how God’s law works. You create by speaking what you want.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.”,  Proverbs 18:21. You create the world you live in by what you meditate on and by what you speak. What types of seeds are you planting? What are you fertilizing them with? No matter what it looks like create the life you want with your tongue and believe that you have it. Believe that you will receive it. You are just waiting for it to show up in great expectation!

“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you”, Deuteronomy 31:6. God is by your side, God is in you and He wants the best for you. Don’t be afraid of anyone or anything. The word courage means the ability to do something that frightens you. It doesn’t matter that you are afraid of doing a task what matters is that you don’t let the fear stop you from moving forward with whatever vision God as given you.

If God said it, it will happen. If God showed it to you, it will come to pass. We have to stand on God’s Word at all costs. We can’t doubt Him, we can’t lose heart and we can’t give up. “In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?”, Psalm 56:4.

“But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?”, Mark 4:40. God has great things in store for His children and it is up to us to move in faith when God says so. There will always be someone who has something negative to say because that is our human nature. When God shows you where He is taking you time out for fear. They talked about Jesus, right? So why do you think no one will talk about you? You better get over people and get over yourself and move forward in Jesus’ name!

Jesus and His disciples were on the boat, Jesus was sleeping and there was a storm. Jesus rebuked the wind and told the sea to be still. Peace be still. Speak to the mountain, the wind, the storm, and tell your situation about what God can do! “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”, Romans 8:31. God is on your side man of God! God is on your side woman of God! God is waiting for you to get up and work the vision.

Were you in ministry and you have sat yourself down? You have given up on yourself, the church, your ministry, and the vision. Tell God you are sorry and you have changed your mind.

Have someone hurt you and you have not forgiven them? Because of your unforgiveness, your ministry is at a standstill. You already know what you have to do. Go ahead and humble yourself, forgive them, release them, Give them to God, and get back in the race. We all have to fight the good fight of faith.

Meditate on these Scriptures: “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord”, Isaiah 54:17.

“My tongue also shall talk of Your righteousness all the day long; For they are confounded, For they are brought to shame Who seek my hurt”, Psalm 71:24.

“Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you”, Hebrews 13:5.

“So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”, Hebrews 13:6.

“Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature, and it is set on fire by hell”,  James 3:5-6. I will not use my tongue against what God has placed in me. I will not use my tongue against myself. I will give the Holy Spirit and the angels something good to work with. I will give them something new to create in my life. God loves me and if I have anxiety or fear it is not of God. It’s the enemy wanting to make me fearful and not do what God has called me to do. I pray that you have enjoyed this series about Becoming Fearless. It is up to you to work your faith and become unstoppable in God. When we become fearless our possibilities become limitless!

Take the Limits Off of God

Many of us are blocking that blessing. I am including myself in that equation. Because we limit God on what he wants to do for us. We limit God in how He wants to protect us. We limit God when allowing Him to love us. We limit God on how he wants to meet every one of our needs. We set such a low bar for God to achieve. We put a limit on God. Take the limits off. Take the restraints off God. Remove the strongholds. Stop limiting it to one window and dream of WINDOWS!

It is not about Christmas Cards and potlucks and such. It’s not about buying a Christmas tree and hanging stockings by the fireplace. It is about the birth of Christ.
