If His eye is on the sparrow, why are we feeling discouraged? Why are we feeling lonely? Why are many of us walking around here saying I don’t know what I will do. How am I going to make it? How can I pay the mortgage? How am I going to pay the bills? How am I going to fix my marriage? What stands out in those statements is “I”. What am “I” going to do? If His eye is on the sparrow, then what are you worried about? His eye is on the sparrow.
You are in the middle of the sea, and the ship that represents your life is being tossed and turned. You are going through a turbulent storm. The storm could be your marriage. The storm could be losing your job. The storm could be financial struggles. The storm could be that child that is not acting right. The storm could be grief, you just lost a loved one. Whatever your storm is, God is saying I got you. Just grab hold of one of the broken pieces. I will pull you safely to shore.
Businesses and organizations are not the only ones that have an SOP. As believers we have an SOP too. You see our Commander in Chief gave us an SOP, a standard operating procedure. And it is called the Bible. It is God’s Word. That is our standard operating procedure. That’s our play book. That’s where our step-by-step instructions are detailed. The Mighty Word of God.
God is looking for some faithful people. Believers that believe without seeing. He is looking for those with Abraham kind of faith, that radical kind of faith. God is looking for some trusting folks. God is looking for people with radical faith.
Sifting is a method used to smooth out the flour before baking. The flour is measured out and placed in a metal sifter with very tiny holes in it. The sifter is held over a large bowl. The flour is poured into the sifter and movement is made to sift the flour through the tiny holes. This removes all the lumps and clumps. Whatever is remaining in the sifter is discarded. What is in the bottom of the bowl is a consistency so smooth to be used however needed. You are the flour and God is the sifter. He’s trying to build you up and make you stronger, even through your circumstances.
What happens to your faith when you are wandering in the wilderness? Why do you allow the wilderness take up residence within your life? Where is your faith?
Do you know who you are? Do you know what's in your DNA? You are a Kings Kind. A Child of the Most High. You have His DNA.
As Christians we are called to spread the Word of God. What seasoning are you sprinkling into the world today?
"Being a Servant Leader" is about zeroing in on being a servant leader like Jesus. Emulating the characteristics that he demonstrated as a servant leader. Such showing compassion, being a good listener and follower and being a coach. Striving to the be the best you can be for yourself and your team.
"Activate Your Faith" is about standing on the Word of God and believing and trusting the Lord to answer your prayer. Realizing that God is waiting on you to do your part. You can't just cry out to Him and sit and wait. You have to stay immersed in God's Word and use it guide you through life.
