Many of us are blocking that blessing. I am including myself in that equation. Because we limit God on what he wants to do for us. We limit God in how He wants to protect us. We limit God when allowing Him to love us. We limit God on how he wants to meet every one of our needs. We set such a low bar for God to achieve. We put a limit on God. Take the limits off. Take the restraints off God. Remove the strongholds. Stop limiting it to one window and dream of WINDOWS!
Christmas is not about the gifts under the tree. It is not about making lists for Santa, a man in a red suit who rides around in a sleigh driven by reindeer. It is not about Christmas Cards and potlucks and such. It’s not about buying a Christmas tree and hanging stockings by the fireplace. It is about the birth of Christ.
What is faith in action? Many do not know what that means. You must live what you believe. You have to believe without seeing. It is knowing that God is going to answer your prayer.
The one asking the question is God. He wants to know DO YOU LOVE HIM? If God was standing in front of you today and asked you that question what would your response be? Would He be able to see it?
Who's on your boat? Many believers do not realize that you cannot have everybody on your boat. You need to be careful who you let on your boat. Everybody is not for you, and nobody is going to have your back when things get tough or out of control. So, who is on your boat?
“It is by the grace of God that I am still here. It is by the grace of God that things are now becoming clear. It is by the grace of God that I listened when he called. It is by the grace of God that his love, mercy, and unwavering grace anchored me through it all. Because I’m still standing.”
If His eye is on the sparrow, why are we feeling discouraged? Why are we feeling lonely? Why are many of us walking around here saying I don’t know what I will do. How am I going to make it? How can I pay the mortgage? How am I going to pay the bills? How am I going to fix my marriage? What stands out in those statements is “I”. What am “I” going to do? If His eye is on the sparrow, then what are you worried about? His eye is on the sparrow.
You are in the middle of the sea, and the ship that represents your life is being tossed and turned. You are going through a turbulent storm. The storm could be your marriage. The storm could be losing your job. The storm could be financial struggles. The storm could be that child that is not acting right. The storm could be grief, you just lost a loved one. Whatever your storm is, God is saying I got you. Just grab hold of one of the broken pieces. I will pull you safely to shore.
Businesses and organizations are not the only ones that have an SOP. As believers we have an SOP too. You see our Commander in Chief gave us an SOP, a standard operating procedure. And it is called the Bible. It is God’s Word. That is our standard operating procedure. That’s our play book. That’s where our step-by-step instructions are detailed. The Mighty Word of God.
God is looking for some faithful people. Believers that believe without seeing. He is looking for those with Abraham kind of faith, that radical kind of faith. God is looking for some trusting folks. God is looking for people with radical faith.
