Ezekeil 37:1-14 1 The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, 2 And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.
3 And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest. 4 Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. 5 Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: 6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
7 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. 8 And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.
9 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.
11 Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. 12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.
13 And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, 14 And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the Lord have spoken it, and performed it, saith the Lord. (KJV)
How many of you right now are living amid dry bones? God is trying to wake something up inside of you, but you are too comfortable to move. You are too tired, and you want to stay where you are. You feel things are great right here. And God is trying to take you to another level. He is trying to bless you with abundance, but you won’t move. You like hanging with the crowd you are in, and you think if you make a change, then things will be different. Is it possible you may need some new friends? God cannot revive you if you want to stay where you are. God cannot revive you if you want to keep hanging with the same crowd. God wants to wake up those dry bones.
Someone needs to hear your testimony. Someone needs to witness your breakthrough. It is time to wake up. It is time for you to move. It is time to shake the dust off your feet and go where God wants you to go. Stop living on, “I’m alright here at get along lane”. God wants to move you to where the streets are paved with gold. There is a calling on your life, and you are just sitting there warming the pew. You have let the bones dry up, and you are comfortable. God wants to shake up something in your life. God needs your gift to reach others and draw them closer to Him. Come on and wake up those dry bones.
You have been lying still. You have been stagnant. When work is to be done, you hide in the back room and wait until the coast is clear. Stop letting the devil tell you that you cannot do it. Stop letting the enemy stop you from moving forward. Stop thinking that where you are now is where you must stay. Stop thinking that there is nothing you can do. Stop thinking you will make a move at some point, but not right now. God wants to wake up your dry bones. But he is not going to beg you. You must come willing. Taking that first step is scary. But you are not making that move alone. God is going to be with you every step of the way.
Those dry bones have been dictating every move of your life. You have allowed them to chart your course. They have made decisions for you. They have held you back. They have gotten you into some sticky situations. Those dry bones need to be touched by the Holy Spirit and revived. God wants to give you the desires of your heart. God wants to envelop you with all His goodness. Wake up those dry bones and move. If it means leaving your friends behind, then so be it. If it means stepping out all alone, then do it. Speak to that dream and manifest it into reality. Speak to that promotion and start doing everything to prepare for it. Speak to that book that you want to write. Speak to the ministry that is in your heart to start. Do not let anything stop you.
Just as the Word says in verse 9, “Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army”.
Speak to those dry bones and breathe life into them. As Jesus spoke to that fig tree, you can speak into your life. You can breathe life into your situation. You can breathe life. Even when it gets hard sometimes, you can still breathe life into your situation. Pray and speak the Word of God over your situation. Breathe life into it. Wake up those dry bones and breathe life into them. So you can do the work our Heavenly Father has called you to. Breathe life into those dry bones so you live the life God has for you. Breathe life into those dry bones so others can see Christ in you. Breathe life into those dry bones so your dreams can be manifested. Breathe life into those dry bones so you bring souls to Christ. Breathe life into those dry bones and step out on faith. It’s time to wake up. Wake up those dry bones today. Wake them up and step into a world full of blessings and favor. Wake up those dry bones and strengthen your relationship with God. Wake up those dry bones. Wake up. It’s time.
